Bio

Based in Sydney, Krystl Durant is an emerging artist, recently graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School. Her practice is focused on landscape, specially places she has experienced within Australia and overseas.

Artist Statement

I have always been inspired by the Australian landscape, particularly around the coast of Sydney. My work is done primarily with oil paints on canvas or wood. Working either from plein air and in the studio, my focus is to capture the feeling of a place. I like to work from memory and photographs to create a visual collage of a place rather than a specific likeness.
